Coming up next are just so-not-important facts about me.
Ah, why do I write these kind of stuffs again?
Perhaps for no reason. LOL

13th Trivia
Passion is Writing

Writing as in fiction telling, not an article about what is happening out there or else. I love to write stories, letting my imagination to flow as far as possible, creating a world for my own.

I do love to read so many books (which, unusually, not romance books since I somehow shiver to read it unless it's comedy-romantic stories) but writing stories have this exciting unsure itself.

This has happened since I was around six or seven years old. I used to write on books (which some I still keep). Every time I read them, I chuckle at my own random choices of words and remember how much I love writing ever since I was still a little girl.

Now? My  passion keeps expanding.

14th Trivia
Wish to be a Polyglotism

What is Polyglotism?

It's the term of the ability to speak many languages; a person who can master numerous languages. To put it simple: multilingual.

I love to learn about new languages but I never really put myself to master them.

The first foreign language I ever learned is English. I had courses somewhere until I was eight or nine years old. Afterwards I just learned by myself: reading dictionary, listening music, watching movies. Autodidact it is.

Mandarin is the second language I need to learn since I used to watch Taiwanese drama on TV. My parents also somewhat good in Mandarin so I was encouraged to learn the language.
Since I love to write, I usually look for some words and find out they are derived from Latin words. Well, they are added to my vocabulary.

I also have a Japanese dictionary on my bookshelf, attending an extracurricular class during high school for one year. Autodidact lesson by watching anime and listening J-Pop.

Korean is next since I am a K-Pop fan now. However I'm not so into K-Drama so I mostly learn some vocabularies from the music and random browsing.

French and German are also interesting for me though I never try to explore more seriously about the languages.

Oh, talking about me being greedy.

Well, that's all for now.
Gotta hit some books.
Thanks for reading. ;)

‡ 22 ‡

Talking about birthday, some would always have their own choices to spend their special days.
Ones would love to spend their time with families and friends, or perhaps lovers if they already have.
Ones would just spend the day in ordinary way, pretending it's just another good day.
Ones would wait for people to greet them with birthday wishes, simply because it's their days -- the days to have the attention without asking for it.

Me?
I was used to be the one who was eager to have more and more birthday greetings from friends. It was the moment when I felt so special for just one day.
Then, I don't really remember when, I turned my principle to hide my birthday as unnoticed as possible -- hiding it from the social network possible, replying privately to the birthday wishes I received, and all.
The reason is quite childish. I was just hoping people would remember my birthday without notification from social network or someone else. Oh, I even once asked my close friends to not publish my birthday anywhere.

Now?
Oh, I'm just a combination of both. I'm trying to have my birthday as ordinary as it can be. I still hide my birthday here and there but, when people greet me at Twitter or other SNS, I would gladly reply to them even though it means people would notice.
I take all of them as blessings and I am grateful for them.

The different things I notice from my 22nd birthday today?

No more text message.
I used to receive text message as the form of birthday greetings until last year. Since smartphones and social networking services are worldwide now, people barely use the text messaging function -- I guess. Yep, my phone doesn't vibrate at all this whole day for a new text message.
I still kept some birthday text messages I received last year though.

No more post on Facebook wall.
Last year, people used to mention the birthday boy/girl on their Facebook status. Today I have a really peaceful Facebook notification. In fact, I have none. All the birthday wishes came from BBM, Twitter, and Whatsapp, followed by Instagram.

I have this tendency to remember one or two memorable birthday greetings I received from year to year.
Last year, Riki Rikmen sent me a text message (which I still keep in my phone inbox):

"Happy bday bu er, smoga sukses di perjalanan hidup, karir, jodoh . Tetap menjadi bu er , jangan brubah" . Bless you :)"

It might sound really simple. Well, it is really simple but it's more than memorable for me. How could I put it in words? I definitely like the words 'keep being yourself, don't change'. It makes me feel I'm good as myself -- and I'm happy.

This year's best memorable birthday greeting came from Monica Dewi Putri. She is currently at Shanghai now. Yes, different country. A really far one indeed. But she managed to give me the birthday greetings through Whatsapp.

She recorded her own voice just to wish me a birthday greeting! I was on my way back to home when I heard her voice, making me smile with unexpected expression. She made quite a surprise for me this year.

Well, in the very end of the day, I'm grateful for today. I got the chance to attend an event at Pacific Place, watched Fast and Furious 6 for free, walking around the mall with my partner at work, Stella Winata, who celebrated her birthday yesterday.

Thanks God for being so good and all for me. I'm so blessed to be loved by You.
Thanks for my family, for being the place where I grow older as time passes and be better -- I hope.
Thanks for my friends, for all the wishes and blessings you send to me. Appreciate them so much.

I also gave myself a birthday present. Pathetic, eh? But it's somehow a tradition I made for myself. LOL.
I hope I will enjoy the books. ;)

Since it's my 22nd birthday, hereby I also post the lyrics of "22", a song by Taylor Swift, one of my favorite artists.
Thank you for reading! ^^

It feels like a perfect night to dress up like hipsters
And make fun of our exes
It feels like a perfect night for breakfast at midnight
To fall in love with strangers

Yeah,
We're happy, free, confused, and lonely at the same time
It's miserable and magical, oh yeah
Tonight's the night when we forget about the deadlines
It's time

Oh oh!
I don't know about you but I'm feeling 22
Everything will be alright if you keep me next to you
You don't know about me but I'll bet you want to
Everything will be alright if we just keep dancing like we're 22
22

It seems like one of those nights, this place is too crowded
Too many cool kids
(who's Taylor Swift anyway? ugh)
It seems like one of those nights, we ditch the whole scene and end up dreaming
Instead of sleeping

Yeah,
We're happy, free, confused, and lonely in the best way
It's miserable and magical, oh yeah
Tonight's the night when we forget about the heartbreaks
It's time

Oh oh!
I don't know about you but I'm feeling 22
Everything will be alright if you keep me next to you
You don't know about me but I'll bet you want to
Everything will be alright if we just keep dancing like we're 22
22
I don't know about you
22
22

It feels like one of those nights,
We ditch the whole scene
It feels like one of those nights,
We won't be sleeping
It feels like one of those nights,
You look like bad news
I gotta have you
I gotta have you

‡ Sincerity ‡

The digital calendar on my laptop shows April 06, 2013 for today.
Even though the countdown to 2014 is too early to do right now, I actually start to think where I will lead myself to before this year ends.

Apparently March has been quite a good yet complicated month for me. Why?

I went to Music Bank in Jakarta on 9 March, referring to my previous post. I got to see almost all of my most favorite K-Pop idols in one night. Live, people, live. It's definitely unforgettable for me!
My little brother had his 15th birthday on 12 March and he will go to senior high school this year. Hooray for him!
I celebrated my first work anniversary on 26 March. Yes, it's been a year since I started to work at my current office. Talking about being comfortable and all with work life, eh?

Meanwhile I also faced three not-so-big turnout of events in March as well. It's not that fascinating but I'm still going to write here anyway. I'm such a stubborn blogger.

First of all, about this passion in working. I mentioned about this before and I'm still unsure with myself.
It's not that I don't like my job; surrounded by good friends, challenged by many questions, facing the different colleagues, and developing my skills as well.
This job is not bad and I'm lucky to have it but... let's just say I'm not fully into it. No, I'm working sincerely every workday but, well, it's like the feeling you got a pretty expensive dress as a present yet it's not your favorite. Kind of like that.

Next is me trying to be more girly. Nahhh, I'm not your typical girl who loves to go shopping for dress, cosmetics, shoes, or doing facial treatment stuff. I'd rather go to bookstores and spend hours on books and writing.
However, as my age increases every year, it's like life has been demanding on changes for me. Perhaps it's just me being paranoid but, well, what can I do when I'm surrounded by friends who grow up to take care of themselves so much more?
My father once said that I was too ignorant with myself. I should take care of my face, hair, body, and all if I wanted to get married one day. My grandmother said somehow the same; possibly because I'm the only daughter in family and I have no interest in spending money for beauty.

I'm turning 22 this year and the frequency of attending formal events increases. Since I'm not really young anymore (this is me telling myself), it's not like girls are good enough to go anywhere for formal events without special features like make-ups and all.
To be honest, I have no idea how to use scotch and mascara. I have no idea why I should use blush or eyeliner. All I really have are just powder and lip gloss (which I rarely use).
Some of my friends have the tendency to do nail arts, body spa, etc that I can't even mention one by one. Sometimes I think whether I should be one or not.

Well, as I'm saying, I need to take a look more about myself. Not to be as girly as girl could be because I'm just failed to be one. Or maybe it's not the time yet.

As for the last one, like what this post title said, I understand a little bit more about sincerity.
What is sincerity anyway? How can I define it in words? Let me try.

Like the feeling when you prepare a birthday surprise for your mother and not even complaining about how much money you need to spend for her without people asking you to do it, it's sincerity.
When you join a charity project just because you want to make the kids smile happily, it's sincerity.
It's like when you help your friend with their overloaded tasks without him/her asking you to, so that your friend would not be stressed with life, it's sincerity.

In my case, it's like loving sincerely.
Not demanding anything at all. Can't hate the person no matter what. Feeling happy that your love finally find someone else which is not you. Tears of happiness when the person smiles for someone else. Praying for nothing but blessings for the person.
It sounds so foolish and stupid, I know, but that's that.

Okay, stop spoiling my silly slice of mind here.
April is here and unexpected things will probably come this month!

Prepare your life for more surprise and live your life to the fullest. ;)
